On March 19 and 20, the REFER will bring together people who are passionate about the school environment for 2 days of discussions and conferences around the theme "Digital technology at school: between humanism and utilitarianism".

With the big success from last year, the actors of this exceptional meeting are actively preparing its 2nd edition.

It will all begin on March 19 in the afternoon with an international round table, followed by the presentation of a class project, produced by students from Quebec, France and Belgium, which offers an echo, in augmented reality. , for testing Little Thumbelina by French philosopher Michel Serres. The afternoon will end with the award ceremony of the Twitter contest which will take place on the sidelines of the event as well as a visit to the Innovation Showcase, a crossroads where classroom initiatives integrating ICT are showcased.

In the evening, participants will have the opportunity to hear Denis Simard, professor in the Faculty of Education at Laval University during aan almost perfect educational dinner (#USPPP).

On the morning of March 20, all will meet to attend the presentation of various innovative educational models. Yvon Fortin's conference, “Innovation: a manual”, will close this morning. In the afternoon, participants from Quebec will meet in thematic workshops, the detailed schedule of which will be unveiled later.

To exploit the notion of network, the organizers invite schools and organizations around the world to become a " focus of activities ". Each hostel will be able to welcome participants from its region on site and follow the conferences that will take place in Quebec City by webcast. Those who wish can also organize specific workshops on Friday afternoons.

The objectives of REFER:

  • create lasting links in education between Francophone communities;
  • encourage and develop innovative practices;
  • accompany and support teachers in digital educational uses;
  • revalorize the teaching profession.

More than 250 participants are expected in Quebec. The main activities will be held at the Neufchâtel secondary school. As for the other centers of activity, the information to register for them will also be found on the site, as and when they are created.
