Press release - On December 9, the 3rd edition of the Professional Development Summit (PD) proposes to highlight good PD practices in the field from three angles in particular: continuing education, leadership and support as well as professional integration. Three discussion panels are on the program. Here are the details.
9h00 - Continuing education: Continuous professional development is one of the professional skills put forward by the new Professional Skills Framework for the Teaching Profession of the Quebec Ministry of Education. This competence refers to the exercise of the teacher's professional responsibilities, such as responsibility for his continuing education, but also professional mutual assistance and the promotion of the profession.
This discussion panel will present innovative practices, coming from the Association Théâtre Éducation du Québec (ATEQ) and the Montreal Association of School Managers (AMDES), and related to this skill and its aims. The impact of the framework on initial university training will also be addressed during the discussion.
