Alloprof : 25 years of building a persevering, committed and dedicated generation

More than one million students accompanied and supported since the organization's creation in 1996

Press release - With the main ambition of supporting Quebec youth and their parents in their academic success, free of charge, Alloprof has helped transform a generation in 25 years by providing more than 230 million educational experiences. To celebrate its quarter century, Alloprof looks back on its successes and looks ahead to the future by unveiling a glimpse of its major projects.

Alloprof's major projects: artificial intelligence and gamification

With the intention of continuing to innovate to support students, strengthen the social fabric and help the most vulnerable, the organization has several projects in the works.

"Twenty-five years ago, we answered students' questions only by phone. It was innovative at the time, and it was that spirit that opened the door to all the developments we've seen. Today, we continue to improve the student experience and our impact on their learning by integrating artificial intelligence and personalization into our resources," explains Sandrine Faust, co-founder and CEO of Alloprof.

Exploring seven days a week, the organization is currently leveraging the latest developments in artificial intelligence to provide an ever more personalized experience for students, offering them tools and services tailored to their academic challenges.

Alloprof is also preparing a complete overhaul of its many interactive exercises, allowing you to revise both math and French, as well as some successful games such as Grimoireto practice reading comprehension.

"Studies have shown us that games are an effective way to support students in their difficulties, in addition to developing their autonomy and supporting their motivation," says Marc-Antoine Tanguay, spokesperson for Alloprof.

A new offer for English-speaking and Aboriginal communities by 2024

Another important project underway is the adaptation of Alloprof's content to meet the needs of English-speaking students in Quebec. While its direct services such as chat, telephone support and the Zone d'entraide are already offered in English, the adaptation of its content will help 100,000 more students by 2024, including many young people from Aboriginal communities.

25 years of faithful dedication of its partners

As a non-profit organization, Alloprof could not accomplish its mission without donations. Since its inception, it has been able to count on the support of the Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec, as well as several foundations and corporate partners who help it grow. Recently, Fondation Desjardins also announced a major donation to the organization to support its future projects.
