MONTREAL, February 14th, 2021 – Since being kind and sharing are in the spotlight today, Mélanie Rizk, a mother working in education for more than 20 years, has chosen today to announce the availability of the Tactileo platform to teachers in Quebec.

The Tactileo online learning platform was developed in France by innovative teachers and the result of collaborations between researchers in cognitive science, and is now used by more than 8 million learners in France and in West Africa. Perfectly suited to the needs of teachers in Quebec, the Tactileo platform is designed to digitize education in a fun and creative way. It enables teachers to develop use cases such as the flipped classroom, effective face-to-face support, or virtual classes. The platform also contains a bank of educational resources, content creation tools, functionality for sharing modules and courses as well as a tool for monitoring results and progress in real or deferred time.

« Distance education must be carried out on a daily basis with the tools available to everyone, like smartphones, tablets, and PCs. The interactive and fun nature of content developed through digital technology must serve the content’s attractiveness and relevance. These aspects are essential because they not only condition the acquisition of learning, but allow educational differentiation. The more « meaningful » the content, the more the student will want to go further and acquire new knowledge, » said Mélanie Rizk, President of La Boîte a Livres Éditions and ARÉN Éducation.

Teachers interested in trying Tactileo can sign up on this web page (in French). As an introductory offer, free access is provided until the end of the school year on July 31, 2021.
