Do the decisive environmental challenges of our time challenge you? As an educational actor, do you want to help raise awareness and take action on climate change?

Students, young people, colleges and universities, in particular, are invited to submit a project to the Climate Action Fund. The funding available under this call for proposals could help you implement a meaningful environmental initiative with your students (15 to 30 years old).

An opportunity to develop citizen participation and involve young people in raising awareness and combating climate change!

Several eligible activities

The proposed projects will have to demonstrate the direct links with the reduction of greenhouse gases. For example, the development of educational and awareness-raising tools around food waste and loss are projects that meet the objectives of the funding program. Three types of activities are eligible:

  • Education, training and tools
    Eg develop a training program that will inform participants about the impacts of climate change and the measures to be taken.
  • Awareness and promotion
    Eg organize a community gathering on climate change.
  • Networking and partnerships
    Ex. Promote the sharing of knowledge between young people and elders on the impacts of climate change.

Do you need some inspiration? You can read success stories of the Climate Action Fund or consider the following:

  • Landfilling food waste generates methane gas in landfills;
  • Buying local products reduces the distance and greenhouse gas emissions associated with transporting food.

Thus, the development of educational and awareness-raising tools relating to food waste and loss are projects that meet the objectives of the funding program.

Submit your project and go further

Are you ready? Get started quickly because the steps to complete the application form are numerous. Make sure you clearly demonstrate that you meet the eligibility criteria and that your project contributes to the achievement of results.
