How to approach, use and intervene in the face of new technologies with your children? This major challenge for parents requires a certain knowledge of digital technology which is now omnipresent in our lives.

This is why the Juvénat Notre-Dame offers the thematic day Trendy parents, smart family. Live education in the digital age on Saturday April 14, 2018. On the menu: conferences, hands-on workshops, App Speed Dating and more. All this to allow those interested to familiarize themselves with digital technology, to discover new resources for the family or to discuss topics related to new technologies.

Equipping parents in the digital age

This day is intended to be a moment to see that it is possible to learn thanks to digital technology, even in a family context! More specifically, the objectives of the day are:

  • Learn how to positively use digital technology as a family;
  • Know the digital practices of young people in the era of digital socialization;
  • Equipping parents so that they can support their child in the digital age
  • Provide parents with tools on the repercussions of digital technology in their child's life;
  • Promote initiatives and practices for integrating digital technology in the classroom;
  • Allow children and parents to experiment, manipulate and create from digital within creative workshops;
  • Provide opportunities for parents and children to network;
  • Establish a partnership between school and family.

Call for tender

In order to make this first edition a success, the organizers are looking for actors in education who wish to share their passion for digital technology by leading a workshop, an activity or a conference. You can submit your idea, using the form provided for this purpose in order to be part of the event. Please note that the deadline to do so is November 15, 2017.
