Press Release - Who said technology, science and business were only for men? Or even more so, to adults? Technovation Montreal is on a daily mission to break down these prejudices.
This competition for young girls stimulates entrepreneurship, teamwork and technological skills in girls.
Come and meet them (online) at the Pitch Demo Day of Technovation Montreal, May 14, from 1 to 4 pm. Discover the projects here.
Decisive projects
Aged between 13 and 18 for the Junior and Senior teams, the girls will be accompanied by their mentors to present their business projects, their mobile applications or their artificial intelligence projects. Initiatives that are as original as they are useful in their community.
These talented young women often address broad societal issues such as mental illness, domestic violence and women's rights.
Technovation: a large-scale concept
Created in Silicon Valley in the United States in 2009, the concept has existed in Montreal since 2014. What does it consist of? Teams of two to five participants develop an idea for an application that responds to an identified problem or need in their community, develop a business plan and create a prototype, while learning the basics of programming.
Event hybrid which will be held both in person and online.
The participants will be on site and the public can participate via the Zoom platform by registering on Eventbrite.
