We met Jean-Sébastien Reid, Deputy Director General at Idée Éducation Entrepreneuriale, who shared his vision with us: a pedagogy based on the passions of young people and adults and which promotes personal development.
Through his experience in summer camps and sports teams, Jean-Sébastien has always had a penchant for collective projects. He quickly realized early in his career that if he wanted to have fun as a teacher and have more ease in his classroom management, he had to put his students into action. This is how he defined his professional identity.
Bring our passions to school
The teacher is not just a pedagogue; he has a wealth of complementary experiences that can be put to good use. In this interview, Jean-Sébastien underlines that teachers can use their passions to make young people vibrate. In addition, it is important to listen to collective passions in order to provide unique experiences for your group.
"A teacher has an incredible capacity to influence the development of young people, through his role model, through the experiences he gives to his young people" - Jean-Sébastien Reid
