MONTREAL, Dec. 2016 / CNW Telbec / - In time for Christmas, 919 schools will receive a free license to install Antidote, Druide informatique's flagship writing aid software, on ten computers.

Druide has indeed undertaken to give an Antidote to a school for every ten copies sold at retail. Canada and in Belgium. It is the Antidote buyers who designate the winning establishments by voting for the school of their choice. And many of them voted; no less than 81,235 of them felt that their favorite school could make good use of Antidote's educational potential.

antidoteQuebec is home to the majority of the winning schools, followed by Belgium,Ontario, the Maritime provinces and the Western provinces. In total, since the first edition of Antidote published in 1996, 3,745 schools have shared the right to install Antidote on 32,236 computers, which represents more than $ 3.4 million in software and maintenance distributed free of charge to educational institutions.

Druide is happy to contribute in this way, with the complicity of its clients, to the educational effort and to the improvement of French. Antidote can indeed provide valuable services to students, young and old. Its vast resources for writing in French, designed primarily for professional office automation, are accessible in a simple and educational way.

Composed of an advanced corrector, multiple dictionaries and language guides, Antidote integrates directly into the main word processing and e-mail software, on Windows, Mac and Linux. Edition 9, launched last year, brings an important novelty: by adding an optional module, it extends all the richness of Antidote's tools to the English language, and offers an intelligent interface for smoothly switching between 'one language to another.

Druide informatique produces and markets Antidote, the largest French and English writing assistance software, as well as Tap'Touche, the famous keyboard typing software. She also created the WebElixir service, which oversees the quality of websites. In addition to these applications, its sales team distributes the books of Éditions Druide, a subsidiary whose mission is to publish literature and reference works.
