On October 4, the Technoscience Network launched the 2016-2017 Hydro-Québec Science Fair across Quebec. All schools in the province are invited to participate in the Science Fair adventure with their students through the different levels of competition: local, regional, Quebec, pan-Canadian and international finals.

Teachers who participate with their students can also register for the Technoscience Network competition and have the chance to have Luc Langevin visit their school on Monday December 12th.

This year again, the illusionist Luc Langevin will act as the national spokesperson for the Expo-sciences. During his visit to the winning school, the illusionist will interact with the students preparing their project. “I have been discovering Science Fair projects for the regional finals and the Quebec finals for five years now. This year, I will also have the chance to see projects at their beginnings. This will be the opportunity to discover even more surprising ideas and fascinating projects! »Specifies Luc Langevin in the press release issued on the occasion of the launch.

The CDLS-CLS Network becomes the Technoscience Network

The Expo-sciences are organized each year by the Technoscience Network. This is the brand new name of the CDLS-CLS Network, which announced its change of name and logo at the beginning of September 2016. This new name was also suggested by a teacher during the competition organized in the winter. 2016. “With its new name, the Technoscience Network is getting closer to its mission. The objective of this change is to present an image that positions the Network as an actor in the field of science and technology ”, explains in the press release announcing this change.
