The Technoscience Network invites all elementary and secondary schools in Quebec that participate in Expo-sciences Hydro-Quebec to register for its competition to receive a free visit from the national spokesperson for Expo-sciences in their school.
This is a unique chance for the students to meet the illusionist Luc Langevin and present a Science Fair project in his presence. Registration for the competition ends on Friday, December 8, 2017 and is intended for all teachers of an elementary or secondary school in Quebec. To participate, all you have to do is submit online the application of the school that is holding a local final as a participant in the Science Fair program.
The criteria for participation include the following:
- Hold a local Hydro-Québec Science Fair in your school. The final doesn't have to be a big event.
- During the visit of the illusionist Luc Langevin, a minimum of 30 students must be present, either as exhibitors or visitors.
- Participating schools must be able to welcome Luc Langevin on the proposed dates, either Tuesday February 6 or Tuesday February 13. No other date will be added.

Daring science everywhere in Quebec!
Beyond a scientific competition, Expo-Sciences is a unique way for your students to improve their knowledge and an opportunity to create links with seasoned scientists, the general public, and young people from across the country. All young people aged 6 to 20 can participate by choosing a subject to explore and carrying out a project alone or in teams of two.
Between now and March, several schools will be holding local Science Fair finals. You can consult the calendar on the Science Fair website for the dates of some of these finals.
In March, it will be the start of the regional finals. Then from April 19 to 22, the best projects in Quebec will be gathered for the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Quebec, Quebec final.
The adventure may continue for some exhibitors at the Canada-wide Science Fair and on the international scene for others.
