The Facebook group “ICT in education” is a gold mine for all teachers in Quebec. Here are some of the resources that have come up recently: virtual books, mind mapping and additions to 1er cycle.

If you are not already a member, now is the right time to apply for group membership ICT in education on Facebook! Here are some interesting resources proposed recently following the discussions of the members of this group.

 

To create a virtual book that we leaf through "like a real one"

FlipGorilla - compatible on all media (PC, Mac, tablets) and very easy to use, it creates an online “flipbook”.

BookCreator - an application for iPad which proposes to photograph first the pages created by the pupils on "real" paper, then to easily mount them. They are then distributed in PDF or via iBooks for iPad.

Calameo - an online publishing service that accepts several file formats, such as PDF, Word or image format.

FlipHTML5 - gives a result that works as well on computers as on tablets (iPad or other).

 

Free software or applications for making concept maps (mindmapping)

Popplet : iPad app and online

Bubbl.us : in line

Mind 42 : in line

LucidChart : in line

Total Recall : iPad app

XMind : software to download, Mac, PC or Linux.

CmapTools : software to download for Mac and PC.

Among the non-free suggested, Inspiration also comes back.
