Text by Alexane St-Amant Ringuette

Éric Théroux applies the Communication process for three years and he wouldn't go back. This communication model promotes knowledge of oneself and of the other with the aim of knowing how to live together. It offers the use of six very simple languages to put into practice. When we use the language of the child to solicit his attention and his commitment, we also respond to the psychological needs of the child. Eric notices that his students are more mobilized and available to provide efforts. This is where he sees a great educational added value.

“If we are able to communicate with the students in the model they prefer according to their basic personality, it makes students who listen to us better, in whom we can reduce stress and who want to go to school. school because they trust their teacher ” - Eric Théroux

The students' perspective

In this interview, students share what they appreciate about the way their teacher communicates and builds a relationship with them: that he is reassuring, entertaining, listening, listening to them. pays attention and respect, whether he gives them responsibilities or offers them projects. This enumeration bears witness to the manifestations of what matters most to students according to their type of language.

We invite you to listen to this interview in order to discover how the model of the Communication process promotes the creation of a bond of trust between the teacher and his students.
