The École branchée, along with its guest facilitators Justine and Agathe from Les Bocages school, and its special technical team Arthur and William from École du Vignoble, all 5th year students, had the chance to visit the class by M. Dominic, teacher of 5e year at the Pioneer School, during oral presentations in virtual reality made by his students using Google Expeditions.
Virtual reality provides access to places that would be impossible to reach during the school year. It was with this background that Mr. Dominic introduced the project to his class, which generated a lot of enthusiasm. But beyond a contemplative visit, the challenge he gave himself was to use virtual reality in order to put his students into action and allow them to develop skills. To develop his project, Mr. Dominic made sure to put himself in the shoes of a student in order to anticipate the difficulties they might encounter. A step that allowed him to support them well in the realization of this project.
In this interview, you will hear the students share their experience of teamwork, their successes, their pride, as well as the challenges that were brilliantly met!
“This project stimulates me because I see that it stimulates young people! "- Dominic Guay
