The Quebec start-up LaCuCaraCha.Org, a non-profit organization, launches LaCuCaraCha.Org, the first community dedicated entirely to Spanish teaching professionals in Quebec. Accessible by subscription, its objective is the sharing of expertise and mutual aid between peers.
LaCuCaraCha.Org is an online educational platform where teachers can share their expertise and help each other. As Spanish teachers are often the only experts in their field within their school, the online community becomes a tool to break this isolation, in addition to facilitating learning and monitoring with students.
There are prefabricated courses according to the level and age of the students, learning activities, customizable content, as well as self-correcting exams, all in accordance with the international CEFR standard.
“In 30 years of experience as a Spanish teacher, I have noticed that teachers all face the same problems. Indeed, it can be difficult to situate oneself among the available resources. How to present and validate the content of the courses? Where can I find quality activities for students? I wanted to change things by bringing together expertise, ”says Yvon Courcy, president and founder of LaCuCaraCha.Org.
This online service support for professionals in the teaching of Spanish makes life easier for both teachers and students, as it can completely replace printed teaching manuals.
All teachers who use it can add activities or exams to existing content that all members have access to.
