Communicated - Mazaam Interactive announces the establishment of Mazaam Academy and a partnership with the distributor Brault & Bouthillier which will make Academy materials available across Canada.

Mazaam Academy offers a unique interactive solution aimed at preschool and lower primary teachers as well as early childhood educators, with or without musical knowledge.

The Mazaam + Academy includes among others:
• Computer software and interactive whiteboard (IWB);
• Fun and educational activity sheets;
• The Mazaam mobile application;
• A repertoire of great classical music sound recordings; quality performed by renowned musicians;
• And many other activities.

Designed from work carried out by the Canada Research Chair in Music and Learning, the solution put forward by the Mazaam Academy uses classical music as an educational tool. It brings together individual or group musical activities that support the development of certain skills related to the musical, physical, motor, emotional, social, language and cognitive development of the child.

“Our institutions have gradually abandoned music education over the past 25 years. If we do nothing, classical music could disappear within a generation as Kent Nagano wrote in his last book. A reflection that we share and which has prompted us to develop a turnkey, accessible digital solution that facilitates the sharing of the benefits of music to pre-school children. A gift they will have for life! »Affirms François Mario Labbé, president and founder of Mazaam Interactive and of Analekta, the biggest record company of
classical music in Canada.

“The Mazaam Academy is a real crush! This educational musical awakening program is dynamic and captivating for children. In addition, it is suitable for teachers ”, declares Sophie Turcot, Category Director at Brault & Bouthillier.

The Mazaam application was launched in 2019 and was named by the American magazine PARENTS as the best application of the year 2020 for the musical awakening of young children ("Best Musical Basics") as part of its survey The Best Learning Apps for Kids. She has also been recognized and certified by the renowned English site Educational App Store and is also the recipient of a Parent and Teacher Choice Award.
