The holidays are upon us and most of us can't wait to drop out. However, don't forget all those times in the year when you said to yourself, “When I have time…” Now that you have it, here are some ideas that you will benefit from for the next year!
Subscribe to the Facebook group ICT in education
This group, founded and run by teachers from Quebec, currently has more than 1,500 members. As the moderators describe, it is “a place of POSITIVE exchange on the use of technologies in education. It is open to all French-speaking teachers and school workers, in order to share success stories, interesting links and winning and innovative practices in the classroom. It's a closed group, but you just have to make a request to join. The advantage of Facebook groups is that it is possible to chat and share easily without others having access to your personal profile, unless your information is public there.
To make a request, Click here. (You must have a Facebook account.)
Take note of the list of French-speaking edutweeteurs
Finally, take the time to update your PLN (Personal Learning Network, or personal professional development network!). A good way to start is to build your list of followers on Twitter. The list of French-speaking edutweeteurs in Canada includes hundreds of them, with whom you will have fun chatting and sharing virtually next year. Take the opportunity at the same time to subscribe to the list: made with the tool Spreadsheet of Google Drive, it is free to consult and modify.
Plan your participation in An almost perfect educational dinner
We made you discover this new formula of networking and sharing between teachers earlier this year. You should know that the next editions are already in planning. Does the idea of meeting up with people who share the same passions as you in education appeal to you? Keep up to date with upcoming activities by signing up to the USPPP Facebook group.
And you, what do you plan to FINALLY have time to do this summer?
