The Academos organization and the MAtv Montreal station are collaborating this fall on the Laboratoire television program and inviting young people to express themselves on issues that affect their future.
Through a Web platform, young people in greater Montreal are invited to express themselves using technological tools at their fingertips and thus post images, videos or texts that they themselves will have realized about their professional future. First, they are invited to listen to the program Laboratory, aired on Fridays at 7 p.m. on MAtv Montreal. Then, they can express themselves on the website related to the theme of the show.
The president and founder ofAcademos, Catherine Légaré, for her part, will seek to understand what challenges, touches or concerns these aspiring citizens with regard to their professional future. She will also present inspiring personalities who are not afraid to defeat prejudices and preconceived ideas in capsules which aim to inspire and perhaps even influence their career choices.
Four emerging directors will then use this content to develop documentaries to be unveiled in spring 2016.
According to Ms. Légaré, few platforms allow young people to express themselves on social issues. As part of this collaboration, MAtv allows them to do so by using technological means that they like.
On the side of MAtv, we see an opportunity to explore what the world offers to the adults of tomorrow, thanks to different technologies. This is also an opportunity to demonstrate that they know how to adapt to today's realities since new technologies are making them more and more autonomous.
Scholarships to be won
At the end of this project, participants will be able to win one of three scholarships of 500 $ drawn at random. Those who post the most content also maximize their chances of winning.
