Quebec - Your food from start to hunger! is a new website designed to introduce students in Years 3, 4 and 5 of secondary school to trades and professions in the bio-food sector. Thus, marine fisheries, agricultural production, food processing and food trade are presented through different activities.

www.TaBouffe.com is a timely website since the 3rd, 4th and 5th years of secondary school are years of study where young people make choices that will eventually determine their educational and professional development. Here is an area they can explore in more depth.

The sectoral manpower committees for maritime fisheries, agricultural production, food processing and food trade have joined forces to develop the project. Your food from start to hunger!

It was carried out in conjunction with the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of Laval University (FSAA) and the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). The project partners used the services of the Société de formation à distance des Commissions scolaire du Québec (SOFAD) to develop the activities.

Access to the site is free and allows more than 3 hours of interactive exploration. The proposed activities are part of an information process, but also of orientation for young people.

They have also been developed in order to meet the objectives of the course " Personal orientation project "(PPO) and the course" Exploration of vocational training »Prescribed by the Quebec Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sport (MELS).

The project also includes a teaching guide offering several complementary activities that teachers can use in different courses. It can be found by simply registering on the site.

The sectoral workforce committees will be present on March 26 at the 8th conference on the guidance-oriented approach of the Quebec Association for School and Vocational Information (AQISEP) in order to promote and give more information about the project Your food, from start to hunger!
