Relax between exams and exercise creativity while taking advantage of ICT. This is the goal pursued by the instigators of the #PixelTag project, two teachers from the Quebec City region.

The teachers Catherine Lapointe and Julie chandonnet are full of ideas when it comes to exploiting the Twitter microblogging platform for educational purposes. Here is their latest find for the end of the year: #PixelTag.

pixeltagVery simply, classes interested in participating subscribe to the Twitter account. @Pixel_Tag and monitor the photos posted there each day. Students choose a photo and write a description in 140 characters or less. They must include, in these 140 characters, the tag " #PixelTag », Which makes it possible to find all the participants on the network.

These descriptions can have a humorous side, we can take the opportunity to insert new words, rhyme, avoid a particular letter ... in short, we can challenge ourselves to make this activity an age-appropriate challenge. students.

As for the use of ICT, we do not limit ourselves to posting on Twitter, but we can invite students to make a graphic montage with tools such as Can go, Piktochart or other relevant applications.

Activity has been in full swing since 1er June.
