The Fondation Institut de gériatrie de Montréal is launching the first edition of the #J'te CLIP intergenerational video competition. This competition invites 13 to 25 year olds to make a clip on an elder in their entourage in order to put him in the spotlight. The clips will be evaluated by a jury co-chaired by an intergenerational trio: Raphaël Grenier-Benoît, Vincent Graton and Jean-Pierre Coallier.

“With this competition, the Fondation Institut de gériatrie de Montréal recognizes the contribution of the elderly to society, through the eyes of the new generation. This original solicitation activity will help support health promotion activities, in addition to helping to bring generations together and promote our seniors, ”said Francine Senécal, Executive Director of the Foundation, in the launch press release.

At the same time, the population is invited to vote in favor of a clip in a charitable formula: each vote costs 5 dollars and makes it possible to raise funds for the benefit of the Montreal Geriatric Institute Foundation, which supports the activities of the AvantÂge Health Promotion Center.

In addition to the three co-presidents, the jury is made up of personalities from various backgrounds. We find Marc Cassivi, Fabienne Larouche, Dr David Lussier and Mathieu Roy. These will be responsible for designating the winners of the competition. Several other personalities also support the contest and have recorded messages of support, which can be viewed on the site. www.jteclip.ca.

Three clips will be awarded: two will be chosen by the jury and the last will win the audience's prize, evaluated according to the number of votes received. The first prize, the Lucie Chagnon Prize, worth 3,000 $ is offered by the Chagnon family. Among the other prizes, we find a half-day in the heart of the production of the show 30 lives offered by Productions Aetios; audiovisual material; hockey tickets, etc.

Young people aged 13 to 25 have until 1er May to submit their video. The winners will be announced in June.
