Elementary and secondary school teachers as well as Francophone or Francophile adults in the Americas are invited to participate in this very first competition organized by the Center de la francophonie des Amériques. Big “techno” prizes are at stake!
The Center for the Francophonie of the Americas, in collaboration with the Institute of Comparative Tweet are launching the first edition of the Americas Tweeting Contest. From 1er to February 28, under the theme Together, French-speaking America, elementary and secondary students as well as adults whose mother or second language is French and who reside in the Americas are invited to express their love of words, language and literature by "tweeting" to About French-speaking America.
Primary school teachers: The Center provides you with educational resources (avenues of exploitation, tutorials and articles) in order to allow you to awaken your students to the existence of the Francophonie, to encourage them to be open to diversity, to create links and to want to play a role of ambassadors of the Francophonie in their community.
Secondary school teachers: exploitation tracks offered to high school students are intended to make them aware of the Francophone cultural reality in the Americas and to encourage them to assert their identity as members of this community.
For adults, proposed exploitation tracks aim to arouse interest in the Francophonie and strengthen ties between Francophones and Francophiles in the Americas. They will allow them to think about the theme of the competition. Together, French-speaking America and will encourage them to express their pride in belonging to this community and to become actively involved in it.
