To meet the needs of the more than 8,000 children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and who attend specialized classes in the Quebec public school system, the Justine and Florence Foundation is launching a distinctive fundraising campaign that relies on solidarity, technology and creativity, in order to provide them with 3,000 electronic tablets.
“Autistic children, like Justine and Florence, want to live, learn and discover on the Internet. The electronic tablet and the dedicated applications form a remarkable learning tool for these young people in the specialized classes they attend. Unfortunately, the vast majority of specialized classes do not have one, ”says Catherine Chevrette, mother of Justine, co-founder and president of the Justine and Florence foundation.
