MONTREAL, Aug. 20, 2020 / CNW Telbec / - Druide informatique announces the deployment of a new version of the school edition of Typing Pal, its web application for learning typing for schools. This year, the vast majority of improvements are aimed at further motivating students; a determining factor in their success, particularly in these times of pandemic.
Tap'Touche recognizes and encourages more than ever the efforts, attendance and perseverance of students. These now get a gold medal when they manage to beat the result of an activity already performed. To showcase their achievements, 20 new badges are added to the 50 or so currently offered. A brand new option allows you to activate distinctive sound effects to highlight a goal achieved or a broken record. And performance statistics change color in real time to indicate whether or not accuracy and speed targets have been met; students can thus adjust their efforts accordingly.
Tap'Touche now welcomes students in a dynamic screen whose paving stones change according to their course. In addition to offering a shortcut, these blocks indicate the number of activities performed, allowing students to assess their progress. This personalized supervision also results in more vigilant advisers. Indeed, these characters that the students choose to support them in their training are no longer limited to encouragement. Depending on the progress observed, they recommend certain very specific aspects of the educational path offered by Tap'Touche. For example, a student who has completed several exercises could be invited, depending on her progress, to undertake development activities.
For teachers, two new tabs have been added to the student's file to allow them to easily identify activities that they have not yet completed. They even have access to the progress diagram by step. Finally, the dark mode, the use of which reduces the glare produced by the screen as well as the eyestrain which results from it, is introduced as a display variant. With a visual impairment, white text on a dark background may also be easier to read.
Schools subscribing to Tap'Touche are now benefiting from these new features, freshly rolled out worldwide. Several of them are also now in the personal and family editions of Tap'Touche.
