Ontario teachers invited to apply for the 2014 TFO Education Awards

TORONTO, March 18, 2014 / CNW / - It is within the framework of the 2014 TFO Education Prize that TFO is launching a call for teachers to find engaging teaching activities and innovative educational strategies, and who contribute significantly to the field of French-language education.

“Year after year, the TFO Education Award evolves and becomes more and more successful. Its objective remains the same: "to celebrate the work of passionate teachers who are at the heart of the transformations in the world of education," said Julie Caron, Head of Educational Services at Groupe Média TFO.

The TFO Education Award is open to teachers certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. In addition, they must have a full-time position in a French-language elementary or secondary school in Ontario.

Anyone who knows a teacher with innovative teaching methods can apply online now. In addition, teachers who qualify can apply themselves. Nominations should be submitted online to tfo.org/prixtfoeducation, before May 2, 2014 at midnight. The prizes to be won this year are an iPad Air as well as a CFORP (Franco-Ontarian Center for Educational Resources) gift certificate of 500 $ for the winner and, new this year, a CFORP gift certificate. of 200$ for anyone who nominates the winning teacher.
