The LCDF Challenge, launched by Le code des filles, is a call for the mobilization of teachers and students from schools in Quebec City, Lévis, Montreal, Laval and Longueuil, so that together, they can maximize the hours of digital education in the classroom, between February 1 and 28, 2023.
Schools that contribute to the collective goal of 30,000 hours will have a chance to win one of 12 packages of technology equipment tailored to their needs. Registration is currently in full swing and will close on January 31, 2023.
Students and teachers will then have 28 days, the entire month of February 2023, to encourage digital activities that will allow young people to learn, understand and become open to the various technological skills and career opportunities associated with them. Each 50 hours accumulated will earn them a chance at the 12-prize drawing to be held on March 15.
All the details about registration and the Challenge are available on the website www.lcdf.ca.
Who organizes the CFL Challenge?
The Girls' Code, the organization behind this motivating challenge, aims to challenge, interest and engage the next generation of women to actively participate in the ever-evolving digital transformation and consider a career in it.
"Our vision is to create a community of students and professionals who share an interest in the technology and digital field and grow together," says Genevieve Peck, executive director.
If such a project is possible, it is thanks to partners who share the values of the CFL Challenge.
"The next generation will play a major role in the country's digital future. In my field, we are at the forefront of progress. We are acting as real agents of change. Participating in the CFL Challenge will introduce students to this fascinating world," said Melisa Muraca, vice president, technology and transformation strategy, Sun Life.
"We are so proud to be a partner of this great organization since the beginning and to see all the impacts it has in Quebec schools. We invite you to sign up in large numbers and who knows, we might see you soon in our studios", adds Meggie Metivier, Director of Communications, Ubisoft Quebec.
