Here are some examples of prototype applications developed by young girls as part of the Technovation Montréal organization’s programs. The participants are all developing prototypes and some features can be used. Several of them have been recognized during Technovation’s international competition.

Splace

Developed by Adelina Badea and Lina Mani (École secondaire Jacques-Rousseau)

Splace is an application designed to help women victims of domestic violence escape their toxic homes in Greater Montreal. The app provides a map of shelters located in the region, a messaging service to speak with domestic violence professionals, and a resources section for more information.

“We believe our simple solution can turn traditional methods of exiting an abusive relationship into a safer and more convenient option.”
