Karim Ouellet was a Quebec artist originally from Senegal. His unique musical journey and his texts have left their mark on Quebec poetry. Author, composer and performer, it was in 2009, at the Granby song festival, that he was noticed for the first time.

He subsequently received several honours, including the Felix Leclerc Prize, for his song love, and Révélation Radio-Canada in 2012-2013. Shortly before his death, found on January 17, 2022 in Quebec, he was working on his fourth album and also acted as a judge for the Anjou Star singing competition.
