We met Julie Fortin, kindergarten teacher at École au Millénaire, who talks to us about work-life balance, caring and professional identity.

When you are passionate about education, you want to participate in all events and introduce all the new pedagogies in your classroom, but sometimes you forget the considerable time you invest. Julie began to ask herself some essential questions: why am I doing all this? Do I have to do this all the time? If I do one less project, will my students be unhappy?
It was by taking the time to reflect that Julie became aware of what she really wanted and of the place that teaching should take in her life. During the past year, she has sought a better balance in order to respect herself more as a teacher, but also as a wife, mother and friend.
We invite you to listen to this interview to discover the testimony of a teacher who learns to show kindness towards herself and to develop this quality in her students.
