Press release (FAE TD and Earth Day Canada) - Emily-Alexandra Sarabia-Tellez, a 6th grade student from Cœur-Vaillant school in Quebec City, is among the ten finalists of the second annual drawing competition organized jointly by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FAE) and Earth Day Canada.
As part of this contest, nearly 4,000 elementary students from across Canada submitted an original drawing on the theme "What connects me to nature?" For a chance to have their design displayed on the TD FEF Limited Reusable Bag. An environmental grant of 7,500 $ will also be awarded to the winning student's school.
Of the 9 other finalists, six are from Ontario, two from British Columbia and one from Alberta. The winning design will be determined by an online vote which will take place until November 16, 2012 at www.faetd.com/concoursdedessin.
The name of the winner will be announced around November 20, 2012.
