MONTREAL, Sept. 5, 2017 / CNW Telbec / - FACiL volunteers are proud to unveil the calendar of activities for the Quebec Free Computing Week (SQiL) today.

The 2017 edition of the SQiL, which will be held from September 16 to 24, is rich in a variety of activities organized for the general public by members of the bookstore community: conferences, meetings, training workshops, an exhibition, etc. (Activities will continue to be added and changed to the calendar over the next two weeks, so we recommend that you come back to check it out as September 16 approaches.)

As in previous years, the SQiL promotes the convergence of movements for free software, free hardware, free knowledge and free culture. Anything that can be put under a free license and participate in the construction, development and conservation of digital commons is in the spotlight! Let's celebrate our shared resources! Let's celebrate digital technology that respects our freedoms and rights!

FACiL invites Quebeckers to participate in large numbers in SQiL 2017 activities.
