École branchée is a non-profit organization that supports education stakeholders in the development of their professional expertise in the digital age to promote educational success. In other words, our small, ultra-dynamic team informs, trains and equips teachers, educational consultants and school administrators in order to develop digital competence. 

To complete our team, we are looking for a rigorous and creative person, dynamic and attentive, with a passion for sales. Here is a portrait of what awaits you with us. 

Nature of the tasks 

Reporting to the Development and Partnerships Manager, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the sales team in order to promote École branchée's subscription services to schools in Quebec and Canada (in French and English), according to his/her assigned territories. More specifically, this includes : 

  • Contribute to the growth of sales in collaboration with the development and partnerships department. 
  • Learn about the reality and needs of managers and influencers in the education sector, particularly in the English-speaking world, in order to develop a relationship of trust with them.
  • Create opportunities to meet with them to get them on board with École branchée's subscription offerings.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the contributions of digital technology to teaching and learning, the professional development of education stakeholders and the services offered by École branchée. 
  • Work in concert with the educational services team to facilitate moments of discovery of École branchée services (workshops, webinars, etc.).
  • Participate in school conferences to meet potential subscribers and get a feel for the vibe École branchée. 
  • The products and services mainly targeted are: institutional magazine subscriptions École branchée and Engaged Learningthe subscription to the collection of educational activity guides SCOOP! and the annual subscription to the CréaCamp Discovery training series.

Characteristics of the person sought 👀

  • Living in Quebec (an asset), but elsewhere in Canada will also be considered;
  • Can travel easily and regularly (some times of the year can be busy!);
  • Have good French language skills AND excellent English language skillsYou will be able to write and speak well (let's be clear, we will be relying on you for a lot of English development!)
  • Demonstrates a great sense of initiative and organization, great political sense, rigor and empathy;
  • Has a good ability to adapt, especially in the face of technological change;
  • Enjoys working in a team and is recognized as an enthusiastic and creative person;
  • Demonstrates great ease in public, likes to animate and knows how to create interaction in his interventions by adapting his speech to his audience;
  • Is autonomous and resourceful, professional, a lifelong learner and tolerant of ambiguity;
  • Holds a college diploma in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience. 

Very useful assets for employment 

  • Knowledge of the field of education and also of educational digital;
  • Proficiency in the Google suite (Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, etc.);
  • Mastery of Hubspot CRM.

Specifics of the job

  • Job location: telecommuting (even outside of the pandemic!), with occasional (or regular if desired) presence at the Stoneham office (Quebec City area);
  • Position of 5 days a week (35 hours, flexible schedule);
  • Compensation: base salary of 45,000 $ to 65,000 $ depending on experience + commissions on sales;
  • Unbeatable vacation;

Nature of the tasks 

Under the authority of the Sales Manager, the chosen person will be an integral part of the sales team with the goal of promoting École branchée's subscription services to schools in Quebec and Canada (in French and in English), according to his/her assigned territories. More specifically, this position involves: 

  • Contributing to the growth of sales in collaboration with the sales department. 
  • Getting to know the reality and needs of managers and influencers in the education sector (mostly in English) in order to develop a relationship of trust with them.
  • Creating opportunities to meet with them in order to obtain their support for our subscription offers.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the contributions of digital technology to teaching and learning, the professional development of education stakeholders and L'École branchée's service offering. 
  • Working with the Pedagogical Services team to promote L'École branchée's services (workshops, webinars, etc.).
  • Participate in conferences to meet potential subscribers and build/feel L'École branchée's vibe. 
  • The main products and services are: institutional subscriptions to École branchée and EngagED Learning magazines, subscriptions to the SCOOP! collection of pedagogical activity guides and annual subscriptions to the CréaCamp Découverte training series.
