Quebec's financial community creates the Inclusion fund

Called upon by the tragic events of recent Quebec City, Quebec's financial community is united to create Inclusion, a philanthropic fund of more than $ 3.5 million that will promote the values in which she deeply believes: openness, inclusion and equality.

The 21 financial companies that support this initiative believe that education is the best defense against intolerance, discrimination and bullying.

Over the next five years, this new fund will notably support education and awareness programs in schools. These programs aim to build inclusive living environments and promote greater openness among young people to difference in all its expressions.

First, the fund Inclusion will finance them organizations TOGETHER, Equitas, and the Pacific Institute. These organizations work with young people to build an environment free from discrimination or intimidation. The funds allocated will allow them, among other things, to extend the reach of their existing programs. Other organizations may also be selected over the next few years.

The Centraide network in Quebec will provide its support by ensuring the good governance of these funds.
