LÉVIS, QC, Jan. 14, 2013 / CNW Telbec / - Sixteen Quebec consumer associations launch the special edition 10e anniversary of the “Advertising Core Prizes” competition.

This competition is an educational activity aimed at developing teenagers' critical thinking when it comes to advertising. It also encourages young people to consume responsibly. The viewing of the 6 advertisements in the running is done in groups in schools and youth centers. The discussions of the young people lead to the selection of their “Cœur d'or” and “Cœur de pierre” advertisements, according to established criteria: respect for ethics, encouragement of responsible consumption, and so on.

Everyone, young and old, also has the opportunity to vote directly online for their favorite advertisement. By entering the contest, you have a chance to win one of 3 iPods.

In addition, for this special edition 10e anniversary, a Golden Heart Perfect Advertising Creation Contest is also open to everyone. The creator of the winning video of the "Create your golden ad" contest will win a samsung digital tablet! For more details, visit www.prixducoeurdelapub.com.

The competition brings together the collaboration of Quebec consumer associations, ACEF Rive-Sud de Quebec, the Office de la Protection du Consommateur (OPC), Centraide Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches and finally, Claude Cossette, associate professor in social advertising at Laval University.
