A new work by Banksy denounces Brexit

Published / Updated on

A few days ago, a mural by street artist Banksy was discovered in Dover, the English town closest to mainland Europe. This new work denounces this time the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

“Banksy created a large mural in the British port city of Dover. It shows a worker removing one of the 12 stars from the EU flag. Representatives of the artist confirmed on Monday that the work was genuine. "

“Banksy is the pseudonym of an artist known for his urban art (or street art) and also as a painter and director. Concealing his true identity, Banksy is shrouded in mystery. Speculations are made, based on images taken by CCTV cameras; he would be from the vicinity of Stoke in the United Kingdom, he would have been born in 1974 and would be called Robert Banks, or Robin Gunningham. His identity would have been discovered in 2016 thanks to a scientific method. "
