The MELS terminates the mandate of the RÉCIT for private education

On June 19, the MELS announced numerous cuts in the funding of subsidized private schools. A cut that has gone rather unnoticed, but which will undoubtedly be very bad, is that of the RÉCIT of private education.

Classcraft: Play to learn

A Quebec creation, Classcraft is a new role-playing game to learn and motivate students. To date, 7,000 teachers in 50 different countries have adopted Classcraft as an education supplement in their classroom. Over a million students are expected this fall.

A free online conference on Edmodo on August 6

On August 6, the EdmodoCon will be held, an annual conference that can be attended free of charge online. It aims to help users take advantage of this communication platform dedicated to the school world.

Facilitators wanted for the Parents 3.0 Colloquium at Collège St-Jean-Vianney

The next Colloquium for parents at Collège St-Jean-Vianney will take place on November 22. Its theme is "Being a parent in the digital age". We are looking for facilitators and speakers. The deadline to offer a workshop is July 23.

2nd International Symposium on Education April 30 and May 1, 2015

Following the great success of the 1st International Colloquium on Education: Current and Future Issues in Training and the Teaching Profession which took place on May 1 and 2, 2013, CRIFPE announces that the second edition of this colloquium will be held in Montreal on April 30 and May 1, 2015. The call for contributions will be launched very soon.
